One of my obsessions is Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. They were established in the year 2000 after merging the creative spirit of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Over the years, they have evolved into a huge designer brand with retail locations in multiple countries, and it’s one that style enthusiasts really love.
I’ve kept an eye on Golden Goose for some time and I would often browse the selection at FarFetch, as they always had an fantastic selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always thought they were quite expensive and seemed too close in style to Converse, so they were always saved for later. A couple of years ago, Adam was the one who first got into the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what inspired me to look into them more. After checking out his pair and noticing that no two pairs are alike because they’re artisanal, I was totally into it. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are intentionally aged and made to appear vintage, they are all hand done so there’s no two pairs alike. Some have much more abrasions and dirt than others, so there’s a whole spectrum.
